Jeremy Menez has caused concern for Milan by skipping today’s training with a reported injury set to be assessed.

The Frenchman is reported to have pulled out of this morning’s workout at Milanello and left the training facilities with a team doctor.

Whilst it is unclear at this stage what the physical issue is, it places the 27-year-old at risk of missing Saturday evening’s Week 6 clash with Verona.

Whilst it is unclear at this stage what the physical issue is, it places the 27-year-old at risk of missing Saturday evening’s Week 6 clash with Verona.

Heading into that tie, Pippo Inzaghi is speculated as ready to return to a 4-3-3 formation and, before Menez’s issue, was seen as deliberating between the winger, Stephan El Shaarawy, Giacomo Bonaventura and Fernando Torres to take two positions in attack alongside Keisuke Honda.

Menez is set for diagnostic tests on his suspected injury during the coming hours.
