Inter midfielder Felipe Melo admits he was “a bit scared” after suffering memory loss following a clash of heads.

The Brazilian carried on playing for the rest of the half following a collision with teammate Gary Medel during the Genoa game.

He twice went down feeling dizzy and was kept in hospital overnight for observation after admitting he didn’t remember the incident.

“I am fine, fortunately,” he told Inter Channel. “I can’t remember anything about the game, but it’s all over now.

“I am fine, fortunately,” he told Inter Channel. “I can’t remember anything about the game, but it’s all over now.

“I was a bit scared, but I am much better now. I watched the game back on television and we did really well.

“There’s a long way to go in the season and it will be difficult this weekend against Udinese. We must continue to play every match convinced we can win, because we are Inter.

“I became convinced of our capabilities after our draw with Juventus. Sometimes it’s not the strongest team that wins, but the most united group. I experienced this with Corinthians and Galatasaray. We are solid and tough.”
