Torino Coach Walter Mazzarri concedes his side “risked throwing away two more points”, and insists “we complicate things for ourselves”.

Ola Aina’s goal in the first half was enough to secure all three points, although Udinese had two goals disallowed and saw a penalty saved in a clash filled with talking points.

Mazzarri was pleased with certain aspects of the performance from the Granata, but also admitted that they ran unnecessary risks in sealing the win.

Mazzarri was pleased with certain aspects of the performance from the Granata, but also admitted that they ran unnecessary risks in sealing the win.

“I’m satisfied from the perspective that we scored against a well organised team, everything was good but we had to finish the game off,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“In the end, we risked throwing away two more points. We should’ve scored as we had a chance to kill the game off but we complicate things for ourselves and make difficult choices.”

Mazzarri will be hoping his side can produce a more clinical performance when they travel to Napoli next Sunday.
