Walter Mazzarri admits he is “curious to see how the lads will respond” to Napoli's surprise defeat as they take on Cesena.

The Partenopei are still clear in second place despite falling 2-0 against Chievo midweek.

“The defeat to Chievo disturbed me because, aside from the result, our performance was poor,” said the Coach.

“I don't think it was a lack of stamina, even if we are playing in a packed fixture list, but it can happen after a series of games to slip up.

“Cesena are a tough side who played well against Inter and Milan recently. We mustn't play thinking about the table.

“I hope once again we can see a reaction from the team. Personally, I think positive in these situations, but I'm curious to see how the lads will respond too.”

Ezequiel Lavezzi was sorely missed at Chievo and returns from suspension, so the only absentees are Gianluca Grava, Luigi Vitale and the banned Michele Pazienza.

Mazzarri could rotate the squad, giving Fabiano Santacroce, Hasan Yebda and Juan Zuniga starts.
