Speaking ahead of this weekend’s top of the table clash between Juventus and Napoli, the joint leaders, the ex-midfielder has faith in the Azzurri project.
“I see Napoli as favourites for the Scudetto,” he told Calcio Napoli 24. “They are a very organised team and they have a very good midfield.
“I like their Swiss trio of Gokhan Inler, Valon Behrami and Blerim Dzemaili. They could come first, ahead of Juventus.”
Matthaus, meanwhile, believes that Milan will find it hard to recover from a problematic start to the campaign.
“I think Inter, Lazio” data-scaytid=”18″>Lazio and Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”19″>Fiorentina will finish behind Napoli and Juventus and in that order. Roma will be next.”
