The Sky Sport Italia journalist continues to write that Matri has used his link with Monza coach Cristian Brocchi from his time at Milan – to stay in shape ahead of his next move.

The report has claimed that the former Milan and Juventus forward is currently contemplating on whether to stop or to look for a new opportunity to continue in football.

The former Italy international has played 344 games in Serie A and scored 92 goals, split between seven clubs, including Cagliari, Lazio, Genoa and Fiorentina.

The only team he has appeared for in the top tier without scoring came in his period at Brescia last season, when he was loaned out from Sassuolo during the second half of the campaign.
