Alessandro Matri is set to undergo medical tests at Genoa today, whilst Milan reportedly also have an offer in for Michael Essien.
Matri has been speculated in recent days as the subject of negotiations between the Grifone and Rossoneri and, despite indicating his preference to stay at San Siro if possible, has most recently been reported set to agree the move.

Matri has been speculated in recent days as the subject of negotiations between the Grifone and Rossoneri and, despite indicating his preference to stay at San Siro if possible, has most recently been reported set to agree the move.
It is widely believed that the former Cagliari and Juventus man, who only signed for Milan last summer for €11m, will today complete medical tests in Genoa ahead of the transfer.
The Rossoneri are reportedly looking at the deal as presenting an advantage in their pursuit of Genoa’s full-back Sime Vrsaljko.
Juventus and Sassuolo have also been listed as interested parties, with the latter apparently tabling the highest offer of between €5.5m and €6.5m.
Even as club President Enrico Preziosi reportedly presses for €7.5m for the Croatia international, Milan are reportedly hoping that in sending Matri to them, Vrsaljko may come the other way at a reduced price.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport report that Milan may have an offer on the table for Michael Essien from Trabzonspor.
The 31-year-old was linked with Besiktas at the start of this summer, only for rumours to based around a reluctance to pay a fee for the former Chelsea man.
It is now reported that further interest from Turkey comes from Trabzonspor and that they are willing to pay as much as €4m for Essien.
