Inter legend Marco Materazzi could play in the Derby della Madonnina tonight. “This is the game of all games.”

The defender has barely featured this season, but remains an important figure in the locker room and even on the touchline with his undoubted passion.

As Andrea Ranocchia and Cristian Chivu are not 100 per cent fit, while Lucio is suspended, Matrix could be called upon to face Milan.

The defender has barely featured this season, but remains an important figure in the locker room and even on the touchline with his undoubted passion.

As Andrea Ranocchia and Cristian Chivu are not 100 per cent fit, while Lucio is suspended, Matrix could be called upon to face Milan.

“The Milan derby is the game of all games,” he told Inter Channel.

“It is the match in these 10 years that I have felt most keenly, because the rivalry is so very strong and when on the field you always want to win.

“We always have such a fierce desire to surpass the other team in the city.”

Materazzi did play the derby earlier this season, but fouled Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Milan's winning penalty.

Now it is a top of the table clash with just two points separating Inter from the Serie A leaders.

“It would be a mistake to think that a derby victory would mean we've already won the Scudetto.

“Milan are the favourites, they have a two point advantage and we will try to do our best as humble workhorses to bring home the win.

“I hope the derby will be represented by the 22 men on the field, because the less you notice the referee, the better the job he is doing. It'll be a great game to gamble with the Scudetto.”
