Genoa are hoping to use their links with Milan to take Hachim Mastour and Simone Verdi on loan this season.

Neither player seems likely to get much playing time at San Siro, especially as the Rossoneri are not competing in Europe.

Mastour became the youngest ever player to make his senior debut for Morocco, but the 17-year-old is yet to feature for Milan in a competitive game.

After PSG, Ajax and Monaco all showed interest in the €5m rated attacking midfielder, the Rossoneri could hatch a plan to give him experience without losing him altogether.

According to calciomercato.com, Genoa have asked to receive Mastour and Verdi on loan.

The two clubs have an excellent rapport and made numerous exchanges over the years, most recently reviving M’Baye Niang’s career during a loan spell at Marassi.

Verdi spent last term on loan at Empoli and until last month was co-owned by Torino, but Milan won him outright in a blind auction.

It’s believed Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic does not see Verdi in his squad, so another loan spell is likely.
