The Roma centre-back has been heavily linked with a move away from Stadio Olimpico this summer, with both Real Madrid and Barcelona reported to have held an interest.
But it is Laurent Blanc’s team who have won the day, with the club announcing that the 19-year-old has put pen-to-paper for five seasons.
A fee has not been confirmed, but it is believes that Les Parisiens have parted with around €30m for the Brazilian.
The move could set in a motion a defensive merry-go-round this summer, with Adil Rami rumoured to be going to the Giallorossi, whilst Thiago Silva has been strongly linked with Barcelona.
