Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta believes Milan can challenge for the Scudetto but “naturally we aim to win”.

The Rossoneri beat Juve at San Siro on Saturday night, prompting some to suggest they could deny the Old Lady a sixth consecutive Scudetto.

“I think the final result is open to different teams,” Marotta shrugged in a Press conference.

“Milan have proven they can play an important role. They have a lot of young players who are playing with ‘freedom’.

The Bianconeri signed Gonzalo Higuain and Miralem Pjanic using buyout clauses this summer, is that something they’ll look to do again in the future?

“It’s a modern instrument. There are a lot of differences between Pjanic and Higuain. We have an obligation to monitor and take all opportunities.

“Higuain’s clause was congruous with his value. In Spain the clause is the most commonly used tool.”
