This evening reports emerged that he could move to Monaco, but the lifelong Juventino wants to stay.

“I don’t know who put these rumours out, we won’t comment,” Stefano Marchisio told IlBianconero.

“Claudio has been sent all over the world [in rumours] and it makes no sense to comment right now. There’s been nothing new in the last hour, let’s see. We’re waiting for signals.

“The hope is to stay at Juventus, he’d like to stay but Juventus treated him as one of the last midfielders, and now we need to see if the club wants to make other assessments.

“If so we’ll act accordingly, but he’s a Juve player.

“There are no deadlines and no calls, we haven’t bothered Juve for two reasons: the first is that Claudio still has a contract, and the second is that there’s nothing new on either side, one way or the other.”
