Claudio Marchisio finally got to salute the Juventus fans this evening ahead of the Serie A match with Roma. “It’s emotional.”
The midfielder left the club for Zenit St Petersburg, but was not given the opportunity to say goodbye after spending practically his entire career – including youth academy – with the Old Lady.
As Zenit are on their break, Marchisio was able to visit his hometown and was allowed the chance to salute supporters before kick-off.

“It’s emotional,” he said. “It’s wonderful to be here for everything I gave you to and everything that you gave to me. Thank you all.”
Former Juventus Coach Antonio Conte was also in the stands at the Allianz Juventus Stadium.
