The Coach makes his debut in Monday’s friendly against Saudi Arabia, to be played in the Swiss city of St Gallen, before games with France and the Netherlands.

Mancio used a 4-3-3 system in today’s session with a trident attack comprising Insigne, Balotelli and Bologna winger Verdi, who later made way for Sassuolo’s Matteo Politano.

Curiously, he moved Alessandro Florenzi into midfield, whereas at Roma he tends to be used as a right-back.

Florenzi flanked Napoli’s Jorginho and Roma teammate Lorenzo Pellegrini, with Bryan Cristante of Atalanta stepping in later.

The defence was made up of Davide Zappacosta, Leonardo Bonucci, Mattia Caldara and Domenico Criscito.

Lazio striker and Serie A Capocannoniere Ciro Immobile left the training ground today due to an injury, joined by Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi.
