The Coach spoke at a Press conference in Shenzhen following the 1-0 result, decided by a Philippe Mexes stunner.

The Coach spoke at a Press conference in Shenzhen following the 1-0 result, decided by a Philippe Mexes stunner.

“I am happy with our performance, even if we lost the game. The most important thing is that we are improving, as at this stage you cannot be at 100 per cent.

“We will have two games over the next 48 hours, so that’s why I changed the team after 60 minutes. It is crucial to avoid injuries and we didn’t want to run any risks.

“We tried the 3-5-2 system late on and might do it again, but this was just an experiment.”

Milan were victorious under Mihajlovic, who has been good friends with Mancini for many years and was even his assistant manager at Inter.

“We chatted a bit and I think he will do well. His team appears to be taking shape and I think he’ll be happy.”
