Inter Coach Roberto Mancini and captain Mauro Icardi reportedly had a one-on-one talk at Pinetina this morning.

The striker was surprisingly dropped for the win over Roma on Sunday, following his comments after the midweek win at Bologna, though Mancio insisted it was a tactical decision.

SportMediaset reports that the two had a face-to-face meeting at training this morning, with the Coach making it clear that he has no problem with Icardi.

However, it’s believed Mancini also underlined that he expects more from the forward, who was top-scorer in Serie A last season, but has found the net just three times so far this term.

The former Manchester City manager wants Icardi to link-up with the rest of the team more regularly, dismissing suggestions that the 22-year-old is incompatible with Stevan Jovetic.
