“The partnership with Kalinic? It’s positive, constructive. It’s clear that trust and consistency are important for a player, Baba and Kalinic are playing well and deserve to play.
“Of course, these decisions are down to Coach [Paulo] Sousa.”
Babacar scored in the win over Frosinone on Sunday with a cheeky chipped penalty, and Bastianelli believes that’s a sign of his quality.
“When Babacear went to the spot, I was sure he’d score a goal. He confirmed his great personality, only a great player would try to score a penalty like that.”
