Roberto Mancini admits his Inter side have a “big margin for improvement” ahead of the visit to Palermo.

The Nerazzurri are second in Serie A, but have not won any of their last three games against Fiorentina, Genoa and Juventus.

“The important thing is the table,” Mancini insisted in his Press conference ahead of the trip to Sicily.

“We have a big margin for improvement, so to be there [second] without being at our best is a positive. We’ve got everyone back, and we can think about improving in so many ways.

“On Sunday against Juventus we showed we have character, we dug in when we had to and we had chances to win.”

The Beneamata have scored just one goal in three games, but the Mancini insists he’s not overly concerned.

“In one of those games [Fiorentina] we were down to 10 men after half an hour, that’s important. In Genoa we had nine shots, we only conceded on the break.

“With Juve we can accept creating a bit less. I’m not worried, we have a striker and a captain [Mauro Icardi] who will return to scoring soon.

“With the help of the wingers and the full-backs we’ll solve this problem.”
