Inter Coach Roberto Mancini warns “it’s never easy to play at Palermo”, and dismisses Scudetto talk.
The Nerazzurri are currently third in Serie A, just a point behind leaders Fiorentina, and Mancini was asked in his pre-match Press conference if he was disappointed not to labelled as potential winners.
“I’m very pleased, I think the same,” Mancini insisted.
“Napoli, Roma and Juventus are better equipped.

“I’m very pleased, I think the same,” Mancini insisted.
“Napoli, Roma and Juventus are better equipped.
“Palermo? They’re a top team. They’ve struggled at home, but have done really well away from home, and have 10 points.
“They have really good young players, it’s never easy to play at Palermo. It’s an important game, with three valuable points at stake, and we’ll need to show the same application we did against Juve. [Beppe] Iachini is a great Coach.
“Franco Vazquez? He has great quality, he has great physicality and timing. Then up-front there’s the expert [Alberto] Gilardino and a lot of youngsters doing the running. We’ll have to play well.
“We’re going there to win, we want to take three points in Palermo. We have to be good, we an only succeed if we show the same mentality we did against Juve.
“We have to attack, and score more goals as one may not be enough. After eight games the team which was showing great attacking quality is showing a little less.”
Mancini also dismissed suggestions he is looking to move defender Andrea Ranocchia out of the club.
“Ranocchia has played very well, he’s a top player. Of course, everyone makes mistakes, and I’m sorry that he’s on the bench at the moment.
“I always hope to be able to play him, because he’s a top lad and a top player.
“I have nothing against Andrea, sincerely.”
The former Manchester City manager was also asked if he had heard from Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, having worked with him in the past.
“I saw him on Wednesday,” Mancini reminded reporters, having contested the Trofeo Berlusconi in midweek.
“I love him, and I hope things go well for him. He has enough experience to get through this period where things aren’t going too well.
“He’s a friend of mine, and I hope everything works out.”
