According to multiple reports, Manchester United have decided against signing Marko Arnautovic from Bologna.

The Austria international was Erik ten Hag’s priority target to strengthen the Red Devils’ attack, but according to The Athletic and Fabrizio Romano, the deal is now off.

Manchester United had an opening bid rejected by Bologna last week and the Premier League giants were thought to be willing to make an improved offer for the 33-year-old.

However, despite Arnautovic’s desire to move to Old Trafford, Manchester United ‘decided internally’ against the deal.

Arnautovic scored 14 goals in 41 appearances during his first season at the Stadio Dall’Ara in 2021-22, and ten Hag wanted to reunite with the ex-Inter striker after working with him at Twente in 2008-09 when he was the assistant of Steve McLaren.

Bologna director Marco Di Vaio had warned the Red Devils on Monday that Arnautovic was not on the market and that the Rossoblu didn’t want to sell their star striker at any price.

  1. I not understand why no one is buying Nabil Fekir and Luis Muriel, thats cheap superstar players. Juve wake up?!!!

  2. Looks like Man Utd board figured out his history – racial slurs used on his twitter account against north Macedonian players – back in 2020. Hope Juve dont get him
