Manchester United have reportedly rejected Sevilla’s loan bid for Anthony Martial, therefore dictating the terms of any potential deal to Juventus as well.

According to The Telegraph newspaper, Manchester United turned down the proposal from Sevilla to take the forward on loan in January.

This is because it would only have covered circa half his £200,000 per week salary, leaving the Old Trafford side to pay the remaining half.

It is believed Manchester United are warning all clubs interested in Martial, and therefore also Juventus, that there are some very specific terms to be met if he is going to be allowed to go on loan mid-season.

They are demanding a loan fee be paid to the Premier League side and that the player’s full wages are covered for the loan period.

The 26-year-old has only two Premier League starts this season and reportedly told new manager Ralf Rangnick that he wants more playing time, even if that means moving elsewhere.

His contract runs to June 2024, with an option to extend for another year after that.
