Leonardo Bonucci joined Milan a year ago today, but Manchester United have reportedly offered €32m for the defender.

According to La Repubblica newspaper, Jose Mourinho is eager to bring the centre-back to Old Trafford and agent Alessandro Lucci was discussing the prospect in yesterday’s meeting.

He has also been heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain, where he'd reunite with ex-Juventus teammate Gigi Buffon.

Although €32m would not wipe out the transfer fee, it would allow Milan to save on his €14m per year salary.

The Italy international made the surprise switch from Juventus to San Siro for €40m.

He was immediately given the captain’s armband, but it was a rough season for the Rossoneri, who finished sixth in Serie A.

The club was then excluded from the Europa League by UEFA for Financial Fair Play violations and are in chaos after owner Yonghong Li defaulted on his debt, so hedge fund Elliott Management took over.
