It’s reported that Manchester United are willing to offer €50m for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spanish international joined the Bianconeri in 2014, but Real Madrid retained a €30m buyback clause.

The player is keen to stay in Turin, and talks between the two clubs are scheduled for after the Champions League final.

However, recent reports suggest that Los Merengues have already decided to buy Morata back and then sell him on for a quick profit.

Today Tuttosport is reporting that Manchester United are pressing for a deal, and are willing to offer €50m [£39.3m].

While it’s not certain the Red Devils would be able to offer Champions League football next season, Juve are unlikely to want a bidding war with the Premier League side.

Though there are suggestions the Old Lady could offer €20m to retain Morata [effectively €50m, as Madrid would save the money on the buyback], Tuttosport believes Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani would be the Spaniard’s replacement.
