According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City are keeping a close on Francesco Camarda who won’t sign a contract extension with Milan next week.

Camarda was expected to sign his first professional deal with Milan after turning 16 next week, but according to Gazzetta, the contract signing has been postponed.

Sunday’s printed edition of the pink paper on page 20 reports Camarda’s agents and Milan have an agreement in principle, but it will still take time for a formal extension.

This could bring benefit to Milan too as if Camarda signs a new agreement in July, then the contract will be valid until 2027 and not 2006.

At the same time, however, many European clubs are monitoring the emerging Italian striker so Milan can’t really be safe until Camarda formally extends his stay at the Meazza.

According to the report, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City are monitoring the 15-year-old striker and the Premier League giants could be particularly dangerous given that an Italian club, Serie B side Palermo, are part of the City Group.
