Milan unveiled latest signing Krzysztof Piatek on Thursday afternoon, while the Rossoneri returned to fourth place in Serie A with a 2-0 win against the striker’s former club Genoa on Monday.

“The team are in line with their objectives,” the club legend-turned-director said at the Pole’s presentation.

“We’re fourth and we have the chance to qualify for the Champions League. We have lots of players on our books, so we’ll see how we’ll be at the end of the transfer window.

“The Coach is handling the situation well, as are the club. Every team go through bad spells, it’s normal, but when the Coach works well and the club are strong, there’s no problem.

“Since our first day here, we’ve told the players those who want to stay at Milan will stay.”
