Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will reportedly sign new deals with the club next week, allowing the fans to breath a sigh of relief.

After winning the Scudetto and celebrating in the streets of Milan, the fans have suddenly been whiplashed into anxiety, keeping a close eye on the contract situation of both Rossoneri directors, key figures in the club’s transfer policy. Both directors’ current deals expire at the end of this season, so new contracts were needed.

At first this seemed like a formality but then things began to drag and Maldini’s interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport at the end of May only exacerbated things. Things have progressed since then and talks have been held.

As detailed by MilanNews.it, talks between Maldini and Massara and Milan have entered the final stages and the two directors are now expected to put pen to paper on the new deals at some point next week.

Rumours suggest that the pair will sign a two year deal with an option for a third, confirming their future for the next few years.

  1. So, where’s the people who got angry on the last post about Maldini isn’t going to renew?
People should just calm down and not get eaten by cheap rumours and dirty media strategy.

  2. A littpe bit of patience. Good to get them both tied down to new deals. I have absolute faith in the club and have no doubt that we’ll have a successful transfer window. I actually think potentially ‘missing’ out on Botman and Sanches will be a blessing in disguise

  3. This is the most important piece of business for Milan for me. If Maldini signed, even if we only sign my elderly neighbour or his toddler grandson this season, I would still trust this angrybird management.

  4. I am still waiting for the news that says duo Ms have signed the contract. Otherwise this news is just rumour for me. Just like any speculation of players milan would sign. At the end of the day, we signed somebody else.

  5. this site just said they may not sign, they believe any gossip. no real news, well its mixed in with BS

  6. When this piece of business is completed we can all breathe a sigh of relief and deal with whatever happens over the summer knowing that the captain will steer the ship right.
