Roma striker Edin Dzeko’s move to Chelsea is expected to be decided one way or the other in the next 24 hours.

The English club are looking to buy the Bosnian and his teammate Emerson Palmieri for €50m plus another €10m in bonuses, but are struggling to agree a deal with the forward.

Dzeko turns 32 in March, so the Blues are only offering a deal until the summer of 2019.

The former Manchester City man isn’t happy with that offer, so he wants either a longer contract or a higher basic salary.

If the Giallorossi do bring in €60m for the two players, it would allow them to settle the question of Financial Fair Play early.
