Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ adventure in Rome will kick off immediately as Jose Mourinho has decided to start him in today’s match against Juventus.

The 24-year-old Englishman’s loan move to the Giallorossi was only made official a few days ago and now he’ll immediately be jumping into the action, starting in the five-man midfield against the Bianconeri.

Maitland-Niles has joined Roma on a six-month dry loan deal, meaning that he’ll be returning to Arsenal at the end of the season no matter what. His contract expires with the Gunners next year, so he’ll be hoping to shine in the Italian capital ahead of a possible transfer in the summer.

The English midfielder made 11 appearances this season for Arsenal, for a total of 472 minutes. In that time, he provided one assist but struggled for consistent playing time under coach Mikel Arteta. An instant start in Rome will be the perfect way to kick off the player’s time in Rome.
