The Giallorossi travel to Munich in order to address the 7-1 defeat the German giants imposed upon them two weeks ago in the Champions League.

However, they are seemingly set to travel out to Germany without their Brazilian full-back, after he again worked apart from the main group in training at Trigoria today.

Maicon is seen as having failed to recover in time from an inflammation to his knee in order to make the midweek trip to Bavaria, and his place in the line-up is expected to be taken by Vasilis Torosidis

The Greek defender, however, also didn’t complete the full session today, undergoing physiotherapy as a precautionary measure, suffering with fatigue.

Early speculation on the team to face Bayern has Rudi Garcia handing Mattia Destro a start in attack, flanked by Gervinho and Alessandro Florenzi.

Probable Roma XI to face Bayern: De Sanctis; Torosidis, Manolas, Yanga-Mbiwa, Cholevas; Nainggolan, De Rossi, Keita; Gervinho, Destro, Florenzi
