“I want to lift trophies,” Maicon told Roma TV.
“A team like Roma can’t go so long without winning anything.

“As for Juventus, they’ve been our rivals for the past two seasons, we know their strengths, and then other teams are also strengthening, as will Roma, so it will be a more difficult campaign.”
The Lupi are in Australia to face Real Madrid and Manchester City on a pre-season tour, and the Brazilian international gave his thoughts on Roma’s opponents.
“Real Madrid? They’re undergoing a lot of changes, but we’re talking about a lot of quality players. They’re a strong team, they won the Champions League two seasons ago.
“I’ll say hi to Marcelo, we’ve known each other for so long, I’ll greet him and wish him a great season. He’s making history with Real Madrid.
“As for Manchester City, things didn’t go too well for me there, but I thank them for the welcome, and I hope they have a great season.”
