The debate has been raging since Juventus beat Roma 3-2 with some controversial decisions.
“Would I introduce video replays? No, because it would cause even more chaos,” Maicon told the Corriere della Sera.
“It wasn’t a penalty on me against Juve and I realised straight away it was outside the box. I could’ve protested with the referee, but what would it have changed?
“I cannot think the referees get it wrong on purpose, as we all try to do our job as best we can. I try to think we made a mistake, knowing that against Juve you pay for errors more than against other teams.
“Having said that, the referee’s mistakes did affect the final result.”
