Romelu Lukaku is prepared to take a pay cut for Inter, but Manchester United want €70m and could accept Ivan Perisic as part of the deal.

According to SportMediaset, the player is desperate to join Antonio Conte’s team at San Siro, as the Coach had already tried to sign him at Chelsea.

It’s reported his agent Federico Pastorello already worked out personal terms with a contract worth €8m per year, which is less than he currently earns at Old Trafford.

It’s reported his agent Federico Pastorello already worked out personal terms with a contract worth €8m per year, which is less than he currently earns at Old Trafford.

He was also watching Inter’s final game of the season against Empoli, sending repeated messages before and after to his fellow Belgian Radja Nainggolan.

The main sticking point now is Manchester United’s transfer fee, as they rate Lukaku at €70m.

SportMediaset claim Inter have tried to offer Perisic as part of the deal, but since Jose Mourinho left, they are no longer so eager on the Croatia international.

Obviously, if Lukaku is coming in along with Edin Dzeko from Roma for €13.5m, then Mauro Icardi needs to move on.

Icardi and his wife/agent Wanda Nara remain adamant they won’t leave Inter and are threatening to run down his contract so he could become a free agent in 2021.

Manchester United would like the Argentine, but he seems intent on remaining in Serie A and in particular wants to join Juventus.

The option of an exchange with Paulo Dybala is therefore increasingly likely.
