Romelu Lukaku has no intention of giving up on Inter and is continuing to play a decisive role in the negotiations with Chelsea, reports detail.

The 30-year-old’s future is currently shrouded in doubt, having technically returned to the Blues after the conclusion of his loan spell in Italy.

Lukaku has no desire to play for Chelsea again and has been training individually in Sardinia whilst waiting for a deal to be agreed. He’s also received a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia and has attracted the attention of Juventus.

Pages two and three of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport detail how Lukaku’s entourage and his lawyer Sebastian Ledure officially contacted Chelsea yesterday, ready to start the second phase of negotiations.

The Blues want at least €45m for the Belgian striker and Inter’s first offer was far off, around €30m, but a raise is expected to arrive in the coming days.

The Nerazzurri want to close things out soon, keen to have Lukaku in time for the pre-season training camp and aware of the growing competition for his signature.
