There is some good news for Inter, as Romelu Lukaku has reportedly shown progress in recovery from a muscular injury and should be back after the break for international duty.

The striker pulled up in training just before the Derby della Madonnina against arch-rivals Milan and was diagnosed with a lesion to the flexors in the left thigh.

He returned to Belgium for treatment and further tests, including work with the national team, who had concerns this close to the 2022 World Cup.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Lukaku had another check-up in Belgium and that showed the healing process is on track.

He won’t be ready for this weekend’s Serie A trip to Udinese, but should return to the Inter camp after the break for international duty.

The injury has forced Lukaku to miss six games between Serie A and the Champions League, which will be seven with Udinese.
