Romelu Lukaku has started training on the pitch again as he works hard to return to action for Inter.

The 29-year-old Belgian forward started the season well under Simone Inzaghi, scoring a goal and providing an assist in his opening three Serie A matches, but things soon went downhill as he suffered a frustrating muscle issue. Lukaku has remained sidelined since, missing the last six games across the league and Champions League.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku has started working on the training pitch again under the watchful eye of the Inter staff, desperate to return to full fitness over this international break. The Belgian wants to be ready for the next league game against Jose Mourinho’s Roma, a key game after the team’s sluggish start to the season.

The Nerazzurri have lost three of their opening seven Serie A matches, leaving them 7th in the table, and Lukaku is desperate to help his side emerge from this tough period.
