Roma chose Coach Luis Enrique because “his football is a little arrogant.” Meanwhile, Franco Baldini is reportedly in Rome today.

The Giallorossi welcomed their new tactician on Friday when the former Barcelona B manager took a tour of Trigoria training ground.

“We tested the water with many Coaches, but none showed his enthusiasm. He is a top choice, like Andre Villas Boas,” said new director of sport Walter Sabatini.

“It is a courageous new direction and one designed also to provoke. He is a man accustomed to challenging himself.

“His football never bows down to opponents, as it is a little arrogant, like the way people park in Rome.

“Luis Enrique has a two-year contract and that is the right time to understand if he'll be our ‘conducator.'

“I'd go so far to say that this is a cultural revolution for Roma. Will we win straight away? No, but we will start working towards it.”

Sabatini confirmed that current England general manager Baldini will return to the club once he frees himself from that contract with Fabio Capello's staff.

Reports are emerging from the capital that Baldini flew in to Rome last night and had breakfast with Luis Enrique and Sabatini.

The Coach and his staff, including assistant manager Ivan De La Pena, will fly back to Spain this evening.
