Luciano Spalletti has received some good news as Hirving Lozano has recovered in time for the upcoming duel between Milan and Napoli.

The 27-year-old Mexican forward was forced to miss the Champions League win over Rangers earlier this week due to some lingering affects from a bout of flu, forcing Spalletti to deploy Matteo Politano in his place.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Lozano returned to the pitch for Napoli’s training session today and has overcome his recent illness, putting him in contention for the upcoming game against Milan, a match that could prove key in a title race this season.

Spalletti will now have to decide whether to deploy the Mexican or Politano against the Rossoneri.

The 27-year-old has had a fairly slow start to the season, only providing one assist in his seven appearances across Serie A and the Champions League. He has scored 26 goals and provided 14 assists in 121 appearances for the club since his arrival in 2019.
