Fernando Llorente believes Juventus’ Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid represents a ‘unique opportunity’.

The Bianconeri can wrap up a fourth consecutive Scudetto this weekend, and while Llorente sees that as a great achievement, the Spaniard admits that Europe is where the season will be judged.

“We have to wrap up the title as soon as possible so that we can focus solely on Real Madrid,” Llorente told Spanish newspaper As.

“In truth, it’s a dream for us to play a semi-final with the chance of going to Berlin.

“People seem used to us winning Serie A now, but the fact is that it’s not easy. But what will change the way the season is viewed is the semi-final, it’s a unique opportunity for us.

“We really hope we can play two great games, we know how good Real Madrid are up-front, and we can’t afford any errors.”

Llorente has found playing time harder to come by in the latter half of the season, being ousted from the team by compatriot Alvaro Morata.

Despite this, the Spanish international is happy for this teammate.

“He and I are competing for a place. I’ve tried to help him as much as I could, and he’s adapted very quickly.

“He’s alert, and he’s having a great season. It’s normal that he had difficulties at the beginning, as I did myself. It’s a different game here [in Italy], but he’s giving a lot to the team.

“We are different, [Coach Massimiliano] has several options deepening on the opposition.”
