Antonio Cassano could make a shock summer move to Liverpool, if reports in the British Press are to be believed.

The Metro newspaper have claimed that the Merseyside club are tracking the progress of the 30-year-old after he was caught up in an altercation with Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni.

The Italy international was left out of the Nerazzurri squad to face Catania last weekend, and was also fined €40,000 for his part in the bust-up.

And Brendan Rodgers' side are keen to make the most of the fall-out by potentially bidding for the former Milan man.

The Premier League side already have one former Inter man on their books after signing Philippe Coutinho in January from the San Siro team.

Cassano's move to Anfield however, will depend on the future of Luis Suarez, who has been linked with Bayern Munich.
