Liverpool are reportedly preparing a €35m bid for Cagliari and Italy midfielder Nicolo Barella.
The Daily Mail cites a report on Calciomercato.com, which claims Liverpool are leading the race for Barella after Juventus withdrew their interest.
The newspaper describes him as ‘a dominant presence in midfield for Cagliari’s midfield and quotes Andrea Pirlo as praising his ability during the Sardinians’ 1-1 draw with Milan last weekend.
