Liverani states he knows the shape of his team for the game, but isn’t so sure about the front line.

“I can confirm that the two certainties are a four-man back line and three in midfield,” said Liverani in his press conference.

“As for the forwards, it all depends on who will take to the pitch with my interpretations.”

SPAL have lost six consecutive games in Serie A, and recently sacked Leonardo Semplici after six years at the club, and brought in Luigi Di Biagio, but Liverani expects a difficult game.

“This is the first opportunity to further remove ourselves from a direct rival in the battle for safety.

“We will need to pay great attention in the game. We need to give the maximum. Their change of coach can obviously have an effect.”

Lecce are three points above the relegation zone, but Liverani says there are more sides involved than people think.

“If the sides at the bottom of the table begin to win a few games, even those in positions higher than us must start to look around. It is not a four-team fight. There are now five or six teams involved.”

It’s reported that there will be close to a full house at the Via del Mare tomorrow, and Liverani is happy about this.

“The fans represent added value for us. The people are dragging the team along, they always support us.

“We want to continue to give satisfaction.”
