World Cup-winner Marcello Lippi says that Juventus are ‘by far the strongest team’ in Italy, but Sampdoria can achieve ‘any result’ against them.

The Bianconeri and Blucerchiati face off this Sunday for a game that pits first and against fourth in Serie A.

Having spent a majority of his playing career with the weekend visitors and a majority of his coaching career with the hosts, Lippi agrees that the Old Lady makes for the hardest opponent, but still thinks that Sinisa Mihajlovic's team can pull off a surprise.

“At the moment Juventus are by far the strongest team in Italy,” said the ex-Juventus Coach to the Corriere Mercantile.

“Facing them is therefore the most difficult task that can be proposed to an opponent.

“But Sampdoria are having an extraordinary championship, so they can obtain any result against any team, including the upcoming one this Sunday.”
