The World Cup winning Coach is now in China at the helm of club side Guangzhou Evergrande and spoke to the Corriere dello Sport.
“Juventus and Roma at the top was predictable, as it will be a duel between them for the title again this season. They have that extra edge,” said Lippi.
“Milan and Inter moved well on the transfer market, had a good start and can be considered at their level, but I expected something more from Napoli.
“Inzaghi works well and has enthusiasm. Allegri was intelligent to avoid revolutionising the team, as he brought his methods in with a balance of Conte’s approach too.
“As for Napoli, the Champions League elimination had a big effect on them, even though it was no shame to go out against Athletic Bilbao.”
