Marcello Lippi says that he misses nothing about Italian football and has no regrets about taking up a role with Guangzhou Evergrande.
The 65-year-old former Juventus and Italy Coach moved out to China in mid-2012, following a successful career based in the peninsula.
“I don’t miss anything about Italian football,” Lippi has commented to reporters today.
“I have got everything I can out of Italian football, so much great satisfaction.

“After so much time I felt that I wanted a different experience that wasn’t in Italy or Europe, given that I still feel too young to retire, and I am pleased to have done it in China.”
World Cup winner Lippi also put an end to speculation linking him with a reunion with Alessandro Del Piero, who currently plies his trade with Australian A-League side Sydney FC.
“I can’t sign Del Piero as the club doesn’t want to buy players over 30-31 years old so I don’t think he’ll be able to come and play for us.
“The great thing about Del Piero and Totti is that they still enjoy being footballers and they are not thinking about when they will finish. We are lucky to have players like that.”
