However, on from the issue being resolved, Cassano has returned to picture and, to the hope of his President, can put it behind him.

“We have suffered and it gave me a lot of discomfort,” Ghirardi commented today on Radio Anch’Io Sport.

“We have given so much to him and he to us, someone has taken advantage of putting the idea in his head of reuniting him with his family, who live in Genoa.

“There were two weeks of confusion and I am sorry that someone has played with his feelings.

“Personally I never put him on the market and in this moment that was very difficult I took some phone calls to say he wasn’t for sale.

“We have Antonio contracted for another two years, between us there is great sincerity.

“If he wants to have fun and be important at Parma then the doors are open, if he wants to do more than that then please tell me.”

Ghirardi also commented in today’s interview on the futures of Jonathan Biabiany, Gabriel Paletta, Marco Parolo and Roberto Donadoni.
