It kicks off at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

The reason the game is on so early, and there are no Giallorossi fans at the Stadio San Paolo, is because this is the first meeting of the teams since the tragic incidents of May 3.

Napoli supporters were walking towards the Stadio Olimpico for the Coppa Italia Final against Fiorentina when they ran into local Roma ultras and a brawl erupted, resulting in Ciro Esposito being shot. The Napoli fan died some weeks later in hospital following several operations.

Security is extremely tight in Naples today, but there have been appeals for calm and it’s expected captains Hamsik and Totti will hug before kick-off in a sign of peace.

Curiously, Roma opted to walk the 60 metres from the hotel to the stadium, surrounded by police, rather than go by bus.

As for the match itself, Roma are joint top of the Serie A table, having caught Juventus during the midweek round.

Last season the Lupi lost this fixture 1-0 and they are without the injured Leandro Castan, Davide Astori, Douglas Maicon, Marco Borriello, Federico Balzaretti and Kevin Strootman.

Kostas Manolas was also carrying a knock, but is passed fit to start in a makeshift defence, while Daniele De Rossi is rested in favour of Seydou Keita.

Totti completes the trident attack with Gervinho and Alessandro Florenzi, as Roma must also take into account next week’s Champions League trip to Bayern Munich.

Morgan De Sanctis returns in goal against his former club, having been rested on Wednesday for the 2-0 win over Chievo.

Napoli’s only real absentee is Juan Camilo Zuniga, as Walter Gargano is on the bench with the aid of a protective mask after fracturing his cheekbone during a training ground collision.

Christian Maggio and Faouzi Ghoulam are the full-backs with Lorenzo Insigne given the nod ahead of Dries Mertens.

Rafa Benitez is still under pressure following a 1-1 draw with Atalanta, a game his side dominated with numerous misses – including Jose Callejon from a yard and Higuain’s parried penalty.

Napoli: Rafael; Maggio, Albiol, Koulibaly, Ghoulam; Jorginho, David Lopez; Callejon, Hamsik, Insigne; Higuain

Roma: De Sanctis; Torosidis, Manolas, Yanga-Mbiwa, Holebas; Pjanic, Keita, Nainggolan; Florenzi, Totti, Gervinho
