Fiorentina's Joaquin Sanchez hopes Roma will be at 'full strength' ahead of tomorrow's Europa League Round of 16.

La Viola only picked up one point in their two Serie A clashes with the Giallorossi this season, but the Spaniard is confident.

“If it were up to me, I wouldn't like to take away anyone from Roma's squad,” Joaquin said in today's Press conference.

“Beating Roma when they are at full strength would be the most satisfying option,” he said, though the Lupi already confirmed that they will be playing without captain Francesco Totti.

“It will take a lot of character. In games like these, variables like mentality and personality become fundamental.

“It would be best not to concede any goals and to score at least one or two of our own. But given the option, the most important thing is not to concede.

“It's no piece of cake to stay strong mentally in a tour de force made up of five, six consecutive games like this one. We have to stay focussed.”

The 33-year-old was also questioned about his career, which was not especially rich in trophies.

“I have won almost nothing. I have only played two finals, one of which I lost, the other I won.

“But my goal against Juventus [in Fiorentina's 4-2 victory in October 2013] was a fantastic moment. It would be nice to experience it again.”
