Kaladze received his marching orders on Sunday afternoon when in action for Genoa against Lecce. The 33-year-old picked up a quick-fire two yellow cards – the first for kicking the ball away, the second for insulting the referee immediately after.
The Georgian then refused to leave the field and had to be restrained by teammates from taking his protests with the match official further.
He has subsequently received a four-game ban and €5,000 fine for 'at the time of expulsion assuming an attitude of intimidation towards the referee' and for his foul and abusive language towards the official.
Mutu, meanwhile, has been handed a three-game ban for a clash with Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”9″>Fiorentina full-back Manuel Pasqual. The Viola defender was booked for his shirt-pull on the Romanian, whilst Mutu received a straight red for raising his hands to Pasqual's face to push him away.
Roma's Simon Kjaer and Udinese‘s” data-scaytid=”13″>Udinese's Giampiero Pinzi have both received one-game suspensions for their weekend dismissals.
Elsewhere, Edy Reja received a warning for his sending off during Lazio‘s” data-scaytid=”18″>Lazio's stoppage-time celebrations in the Rome derby, whilst Attilio Tesser of Novara was reprimanded and fined €3,000 but also received no ban for being sent to the stands against Bologna.
The Rome derby saw both clubs hit with fines. Lazio were fined €20,000 for failing to control their fans after supporters had used a green laser pen during the match and also set off numerous flares and firecrackers.
Similarly for Roma's fans also committing the latter offence, the Giallorossi were hit with a €12,000 fine.
