According to the latest training ground reports, coach Stefano Pioli has been using a line-up with Leao at the centre of the attack, flanked by Lucas Calhanoglu and Suso.

This would push Piatek down to the bench and further enflame reports of a possible return to Genoa on loan in January.

Leao was a summer purchase from Lille, via Sporting CP, for €23m plus 20 per cent of a future sale fee.

The Portuguese forward has made 11 competitive appearances for Milan, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
