Milan forward Rafael Leao has told supporters not to worry about the injury he picked up during the Rossoneri’s 2-0 win over Lazio on Saturday afternoon, claiming that he will ‘be back soon.’

Leao was forced off after just 11 minutes of the clash against Maurizio Sarri’s side at the weekend, leaving fans concerned about his availability for the upcoming Champions League semi-final against Inter, with the first leg scheduled for Wednesday night.

However, Leao told supporters via the social network The Residency, that he is recovering and is keen to play in the European edition of the Derby della Madonnina.

“Don’t worry about my injury, I’ll be back soon,” he told supporters on the newly-founded platform.

Replying to another comment on the app, Leao said: “I’ve had treatments and slept all day. I want to play and achieve my goals.”

Wednesday evening will mark Milan’s first appearance in the Champions League semi-final stage since the 2006-07 season, after which they went on to defeat Liverpool in Athens under Carlo Ancelotti.

This will be the first time Milan and Inter have met in the Champions League since the quarter-final stage of the competition in 2005.
